Mission

The mission of the Office of Decision Support & Institutional Research is the collection of data (from both internal and external sources); timely analysis, distribution, and presentation of this information for use in assessment and planning at the system level; providing pertinent information for use in decision-making and policy formulation; and complies to requests for information from state, federal and other outside agencies.

Ethics

The Office of Decision Support & Institutional Research can accomplish its mission only through the highest commitment to providing a complete, accurate, and fair picture of all research topics, treating all individuals with respect, especially when they are the subjects of research. Members of the office subscribe to all points in the Connecticut Code of Ethics for Public Officials and State Employees, Code of Ethics established by the Association for Institutional Research, and the Code of Standards and Ethics for Market, Opinion, and Social Research from the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO).
