Statement from President Ojakian on Raised Bills
President Ojakian testified before the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee in support of all three bills.
Today, three Raised Bills; one allowing special police forces on the twelve state community colleges, one assisting undocumented students with college costs and one on Affirmative Consent were favorably voted out of the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee and will continue through the legislative process. President of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system, Mark E. Ojakian released the following statement:
“All three of these bills speak to our core objectives and philosophy which is to increase access to higher education for Connecticut residents and improve the safety on our campuses. This is a positive step forward and I applaud the Committee for taking this action.”
